In our complicated modern world, it’s not often that love begins with a simple message. But out of the blue on a March evening in 2022, Adam boldly slid into Jenn’s DMs on Instagram with a charmingly straightforward, “Howdy. I saw you on Match and decided to look you up.” That one little message ignited a whirlwind of conversation straight out of a rom-com!

Adam and Jenn’s first date at Paradise Pantry in Ventura was magical. As Adam walked across the parking lot to the entrance wearing his signature red Converse, Jenn recognized him instantly. They chatted effortlessly for hours and hours about family, travel, and shared dreams, and when Adam playfully suggested ordering everything on the menu, Jenn realized they also shared a love of good food but gently reminded him that might be a bit ambitious!

From that moment, they discovered a beautiful rhythm together—so much so that they became regulars at getting kicked out of restaurants, as if they were both under a spell. Simply sharing a meal transformed into a delightful and lengthy adventure, with waitstaff often needing to unlock the door after closing and “encouraging” them to leave.

Their journey continued through breathtaking adventures—exploring the charming streets of Paris, finding a cozy brewery with sour beer just for Jenn, and sharing spontaneous sing-alongs with strangers against the stunning skyline. They reveled in sun-soaked days in the Dolomites, lounging with cheese and wine and savoring every laugh-filled moment.

Then came the proposal which Adam carefully planned to take place over an intimate and heartfelt dinner at the beautiful El Encanto restaurant in Santa Barbara where they had their second date and first kiss. However, after two failed grand gestures involving a mountain top and twinkle lights respectively, Adam brought things back to how their relationship started and chose the simple comforts of home to make his proposal. Surrounded by their beloved dogs Roark and Cooper, Adam got down on one knee, and as the puppies howled and pawed at Jenn’s leg, tears of joy filled her eyes. It was perfect, and neither of them would change a thing.

Adam and Jenn share a deep curiosity for life and a passion for savoring the world’s simple joys. What Adam loves most about Jenn is her adventurous spirit, strong family values, and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. “Jenn’s warmth and kindness shine through in everything she does.” In turn, Jenny loves Adam’s passion for his work - what he does day to day - that he loves to build buildings.
